How are we Pivoting Amongst the Pandemic?

We had to rethink the ways we do business and how to still service clients. There have been restrictions on movements needed to complete the scope of our work. With reopening plans ramping back up, we’ve been thinking of things we can do or ways to be productive even from home to service our client base that might be in other States that have been severely struggling. There’s been an interesting shift to staging home structures, which [require] implementing the highest level of design on a very fast timeline and on a set budget. In addition we asked ourselves early on how we could help the struggle many were experiencing. So, in April 2020 we implemented waiving our monthly rental fees associated with our staging agreements. We realized many of our sellers and agent/brokers had been impacted financially by the pandemic. This was our way of easing the strain, and doing our part to help.

Our new normal is that we do temperature checks each morning with our staff. Masks are mandatory, and in some onsite cases gloves are required. Covid-19 is real and we take it very seriously to not only protect our staff, but that of our clients, and our community. We hope you will remember this pandemic may cause an inconvenience as companies shift to take precautions, and save human lives.

Black Lives Matter

We Stand in Solidarity #BlackLivesMatter

To the Gardella Community, 
The past days and weeks have, once again, shone a spotlight on the tremendous injustices in our society. We stand in solidarity with our employees and communities who are voicing their anguish, anger, and deep frustration with systems that oppress and devalue Black lives. 

We stand against police brutality in all forms.
We stand against a criminal justice system that disproportionately targets Black Americans.
We stand against the widespread disenfranchisement of Black and Brown communities whose voices are silenced at the polls.

Allyship with Black communities is as much a moral imperative as a requirement of our business.

We can’t fight for small businesses, if we don’t also fight for the empowerment of Black business owners.
We can’t hire and care for our Black employees, if we don’t also protect Black lives everywhere.
We can’t be there for women employees, if we aren’t also standing up specifically for Black women.
We can’t advocate for parents, if we aren’t standing with Black mothers and fathers who fear for their Black childrens’ lives.

Black Lives Matter is the civil rights movement of our time, because it addresses a fundamental inequality in our society: that Black lives are too often undervalued. This notion inspired Gardella’s  own internal  commitments from diversity and inclusion to economic empowerment.

We also believe that it’s critical to provide support to organizations working tirelessly for criminal justice reform and those that assist Black-led institutions. Please join us in doing so.


Gardella Design Group is built on a belief that communities have the power to change the status quo. Change is hard-fought, and we are committed to this fight.

A MESSAGE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Dear Gardella Design Group Customer, and Future Customers:

Thank you for your business throughout the years.  Over the past 3 years in business, Gardella has always placed a priority on the well-being of our team members and customers.  We understand the growing concern regarding the outbreak of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) and that it is increasingly impacting our communities.  Our heartfelt thoughts go out to all of those who have been affected by this disease.

We are actively monitoring all public sources of information and guidance, including the CDC and the World Health Organization, to ensure we are taking the necessary precautions for your well-being.  I want to personally share out the extra sanitation processes we are taking in our Gardella Teams and our delivery professional, in-home technicians and our customer property designers to ensure the health and safety of our team members, customers and communities.

PREPARING THE HOME STAGING FURNITURE

In our warehouse, we are applying sanitation protocols with warehouse equipment that our team members use during the handling of the home staging furniture.

 RECEIVING DELIVERY OF HOME STAGING FURNITURE

For Home Staging Deliveries and In-Home Technician Appointments, our teams are also taking extra measures as well to prevent any unintentional spread of illness.  As with our warehouse, they will be using hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes between each delivery or appointment and they will be regularly disinfecting their interiors and outside handles of their vehicles.

Finally, we have been steadfast in providing guidance to our team members.  We are frequently reminding our teams to stay home if they are sick, wash their hands, use hand sanitizer, clean their personal work spaces, and otherwise to exercise precautionary measures. 

 Again, the health and welfare of our customers while receiving delivery of the staging furniture is our top priority.  We trust that the measures outlined here will enable you to continue your Gardella experience with confidence.

No Cars Allowed!

Ikea's new baby located in urban Vienna Austria, the soon-to-be-completed store will be the company’s first with no parking spots, in tandem with its pledge to reduce more greenhouse gases than it emits by 2030. What this really means, is that customers hoping to drive over and pop a Poäng in the trunk of their cars are going to be disappointed. IKEA Vienna Westbahnhof will be the company’s first car-free store with zero parking spots. Its location near the city center makes it easily accessible by public transportation, bicycle, scooter, or foot. Purchases are delivered that day so you don’t have to try to carry a flat-packed bed on the metro.

We are so impressed with companies trying to make a difference in our world. Besides, we absolutely LOVE Ikea!
